The Customer Experience team anticipated an increased demand for support services as the company’s user base grew. To meet this need, they determined that additional engineers were necessary to supplement the existing customer service agents, as they could not adequately address the influx of inquiries in the same time frame without assistance.
Headspace approached Works with the goal of securing their first remote developer: Samora Dake from Ghana. They sought an experienced developer who could immediately begin contributing, without the need to invest in a recruiting team to refine their hiring process. Samora’s performance was exemplary; he spearheaded the development of Headspace’s content management system and was the victor of an office hackathon.
Since Samora was so well received, Headspace has swiftly added four additional Works engineers to its team.
