Nevertheless, if supervisors are granted preferential treatment compared to other staff members, this can lead to feelings of being disregarded, resulting in a decrease in job performance.

In essence, you should treat everyone with the same respect and courtesy as you would if they had an annual income of $300,000. As the proverb goes, “You get what you give, so don’t treat others as if they are worth any less than you.”
