The International Women’s Day (IWD) 2022 theme of “Each for Equal” serves to remind us of our individual responsibility to take action for a more equitable society. By tackling bigotry and actively broadening our perspectives to recognise the accomplishments of women, we can contribute to a world that is more equitable and just. It is important to note, however, that we can only work to change those things that are already within our knowledge and understanding. Therefore, we should strive to continually learn and grow in our understanding of gender equity and the role we each play in achieving it.
In order to effectively address the impediments to inclusivity in the tech industry, we recently held a webinar titled “Individual Responsibility Towards Inclusion in Tech”. The webinar was attended by a diverse group of women from all across Asia who engaged in an insightful dialogue about what it entails to be inclusive in the tech industry, strategies to combat unconscious bias and the steps that can be taken to eliminate systemic barriers.
Help us spread the word about how we’re working to make the world more equitable via technology.
