Job description

A U.S-based company that is the creator of a smart shower head adaptor meant to eliminate energy waste, is looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for taking over from the present cloud team and giving it to the internal team. The company's software analytics dashboard saves hotels water, energy, and money on their utility bills every month and confirms the savings to hotel owners. The company has managed to raise close to $2.5mn+ in funding.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, build, host, and maintain existing AWS-hosted sites
Transfer control from the current cloud team to the internal team
Troubleshoot problems and errors
Look for failures and make it easier to resolve them

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
6+ years of experience in building and deploying software technologies
6+ years of experience working with AWS
3+ years of experience in programming languages such as C#, Java, React, and SQL
Knowledge of Python and Node.js
Demonstrable experience with design, development, hosting, and maintenance of existing sites deployed via AWS
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD
Experience with build and release automation
Proficiency in English
