Job description

A U.S.-based company that is making it easier, more affordable, and time-saving to build enterprise-grade software, is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate would be responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining an in-house API for the company, to effortlessly manage internal infrastructure. The company is committed to reducing other businesses' technical debt by helping their platform to build simplified solutions for design, integration, and software management. The company has been successful in raising over $361 million in their Series C round of funding.

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms to automate and improve systems to achieve resilience, scalability, security, and cost optimization
Help improve system infrastructure and sustainably scale systems via automation
Identify bottlenecks and resolve them to ensure frictionless operations
Deploy and monitor essential cloud infrastructure by developing new tools
Utilize Ansible and Terraform to define everything as code
Establish and follow best practices to enhance security, automation, scalability, and high availability
Build software release and deployment processes/infrastructure (CI/CD)
Collaborate with engineering teams across the organization to understand company requirements and create corresponding solutions
Take part in critical company activities such as - stand-ups, sprint planning, and drafting the product roadmap
Practice blameless postmortems and sustainable incident response
Create accountable documentation and keep records for all your projects
Effectively communicate with supervisors

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
Comprehensive experience (at least 3+ years) with Cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
Previous experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Nomad in production
Demonstrable experience with Linux/Unix (Administration)
Experience with and understanding of building infrastructure with Ansible and Terraform
Previous experience developing cloud infrastructure at a large-scale (3 or more years)
Thorough knowledge of networking and modern web services architectures
Clear understanding of IT operations and best practices
Skilled with security auditing and best practices
Familiarity with Agile processes
Excellent English communication skills
