A U.S.-based company that is building a one-of-a-kind platform to help take the entire film distribution online is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The developer will be responsible for embracing cutting-edge frameworks and tools while building robust solutions. The company’s platform is making it easy to discover movies and automate licensing along with asset fulfillment, and payment processing. The company has managed to secure close to $7mn during their Seed round of funding. This position requires a significant overlap with the PST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clearly state technical issues and their remedies
- Learn rapidly, iterate, overcome obstacles, and persevere until the proper issue is resolved
- Apply technical expertise and tools in a clever and effective manner to resolve actual client issues
- Assemble both back-end and front-end systems as a member of diverse product teams
- collaborate closely with data engineering, product management, and design
- Work with engineering, product design, and cross-functional teams
- Participate in technical design meetings, offer comments, work with other engineers to complete projects, and ship software to production as part of the full software lifecycle
- Use React and NextJS to write full-stack JavaScript code for the web application
- Overcome the front-end and back-customary end's limits and division
- With automatic code splitting, write both front-end and API code simultaneously
- Write back-end code for the Decoupled Cloud Apps in JavaScript, Python, or another language
- Combine AWS platform, workflow, and infrastructure technologies to provide the fundamental framework for cloud processing
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
- Demonstrable experience with JavaScript, React, PostgreSQL, and Serverless APIs
- Extensive experience with Prisma or similar ORM
- Prolific experience working with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and CDK
- Familiarity with standard software engineering methodology, like unit testing, object-oriented design, data structures, code reviews, and design documentation
- Knowledge of how modern web applications work as well as distributed systems
- Nice to have some knowledge of Next.js, Cypress, Docker, Jest, and Vercel
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, AWS Batch, CloudFront, CloudFront Functions, RDS, and SQS is preferred
- Nice to have some AWS experience or certification
- Some knowledge of FFmpeg, Ruby, Python, and C/C++ is desirable
- Extensive Data engineering, ML, feature extraction, NLP, Scikit, Pandas and similar technologies is nice to have
- Fluent in spoken and written English communication
