Job description

A U.S.-based company that provides new and used musical instruments, and instrument rental/repair services to music enthusiasts and musicians, is looking for an iOS Engineer. The selected candidate will be contributing to the engineering efforts as well as helping the team migrate an app built in React Native to Swift. The company operates a chain of musical instrument stores across the U.S. and has well over 500 retail locations in the country (and online). This company has been successful in raising over $31mn through debt financing. The selected candidate will be required to provide a 4-5 hours overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Understand existing features and build on that stack
Effectively communicate with other iOS developers and translate requirements into working solutions
Review front-end features and enhance them while migrating to Swift
Work autonomously within a small, fast-paced start-up environment
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an iOS Developer
Proficient in Swift and Rect Native
At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience working with Swift
Familiarity with the DevOps pipeline
Ability to successfully deploy code
Excellent communication skills, great command of verbal and written English
Growth mindset and can-do attitude
