Job description

A rapidly-growing early-stage startup that is building an AI-powered correspondence coach and platform that can provide feedback during and after meetings, is looking for a Senior Back-End Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building and delivering end-to-end features, including front-end, back-end, and system-level audio processing tasks while working on the core engineering product. The U.S.-based company is committed to democratizing language for career mobility, enhancing diversity and inclusion, and fostering more empathy and understanding among professionals. The company has managed to securely raise $4.3mn+ during their Seed round of funding.

Job Responsibilities:

Create an outstanding DevOps culture that encompasses build automation, system testing, and site stability
Work directly with design and product on research, ideation, prototyping, and testing features that enchant users and propel Poised's growth
Work in tandem with ML engineers to identify requirements, source solutions, and meet data platform and infrastructure requirements
Grow to become a member of the founding team to establish the culture of the business
Work in a quick-paced atmosphere and make quick iterations on the infrastructure and product
Work on a constantly changing set of issues and demands that require answers that don't already exist
Show off your prodigious capacity for problem-solving, as well as your ability to put together rough MVPs and comprehend what is required to get them into production rapidly

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
Extensive experience working with DevOps, AWS, and Docker
Demonstrable experience with back-end or system infrastructure engineering, as well as a desire to advance in new directions
Ability to lead the development and delivery of the features and to deliver solutions for high-level challenges and needs
Must be a systems thinker who can easily recognize patterns to develop frameworks and solutions to solve complex needs
Prior experience with engineering automation, infrastructure-as-code, and container technologies like Docker
Competent functional knowledge of AWS or other cloud service providers ECS, AppSync, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
