Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a platform for programmatic digital security services is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the process for mission-critical server backup and restoration. The company provides an integrated cloud-based platform for enterprise video security and market-leading video analytics. This position requires a significant overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Design, updating, and upkeep of the software build environment
Support Linux-based development efforts
Implement and enhance security safeguards for source code
Implement and enhance a system for monitoring and auditing access to secure services
Construct and keep up highly available systems
In order to ensure that software can be built and delivered successfully, analyze and fix problems in the CI/CD pipeline

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
Strong knowledge and experience in Linux environments
Prolific experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash
Knowledge of network switches and firewalls
Practical knowledge of various virtualization technologies
Nice to have some experience with VMware or Ovirt hypervisor
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes to create dependable, highly scalable services
Working knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab, and other software build automation technologies
Prior experience putting up an air-gapped software development environment
Ability to troubleshoot and fix networking issues
Ability and experience working in a fast-paced environment
Excellent English communication skills
