Your role:

We are looking for a talented and experienced full-stack engineer to join our team as the Tech Lead. You'll plan, design, lead, and execute technical solutions and improvements of YoRipe's product development. You will be supported by FE & BE developers and QA who are relentless and hardworking to build innovative tech features that drives world-class user experience.

Your responsibilities: to enure YoRipe's tech stack is optimal in fulfilling the product and company business objectives

Lead the tech team to ship good quality code fast, ensures team's efficiency (output > input) and minimum of escaped bugs
Provide architectural and system design direction (including cloud solutions and database)
Owns the development roadmap - manage resources, breakdown tasks for developers, guide development estimation
Lead and initiatve platform safety, perforance and stability improvements, control technical debt and overall code quality
Oversees server management (we're on AWS)
Accountable for tech docmentation
Hiring and onboarding of new developers and QA when required

Your profile:

Degree in software engineering or related fields. We welcome self-taught coder! :D
3 to >5 years of experience as a full-stack engineer for mobile & web covering the below
React Native (JS) : Frontend framework
Laravel (PHP) : Backend framework
Prettier : Code formatter for FE
ESLint : Code linter for FE
MySQL : Database
AWS : Cloud service
Gitlab : Repository
Jenkins : CI/CD for BE
Postman : BE Documentation & Testing
Knowledge in Dev Ops is a plus
Strong knowledge of web development concepts, such as HTTP, REST, and API design
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, such as agile development, continuous integration, and automated testing
Experience in a tech-lead role is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills (English must be fluent)
Passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow as an engineer
Attention to details & analytical mind
Willing to make effort in communicating with team members (we all work remotely so this is really important to ensure you enjoy the working environment and be clear about the deliverables)
Enjoy working in a fast paced and high pressure startup environment
