Job description

A U.S.-based company, that is building a real-time data platform that helps its clients develop apps faster and more efficiently, is looking for a Senior Infra Devops Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining the tools that allow for the team to have as much efficiency as possible, in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This position requires at least 4 hours of overlap with the PST timezone. This is an excellent opportunity for developers that are looking to build a successful career while working on scalable applications capable of changing the industry.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Help build the next-generation products and solutions for the company’s superior clustering technology
  • Collaborate with the development teams to design, build and maintain the tools that they need in order to be as effective as possible
  • Work closely with the Cloud Operations team to design, build and maintain the tools that make their jobs easier
  • Improve, maintain and debug the company’s cluster infrastructure and related services, enhancing their ability to handle thousands of databases with millions of requests per second
  • Lead and embrace Cloud Native Microservice architecture 
  • Migrate various platforms to run on Kubernetes, ensuring the best practices while keeping a GitOps approach
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as an infrastructure/DevOps developer
  • At least 6+ years of experience in programming, preferably with Python
  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, microservices and ecosystem services such as Helm, kustomize, Istio,CSI, GKE and EKS
  • Vast experience using CI/CD tools and methodologies
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC), using Terraform or CrossPlane, and configuration management
  • Working experience with cloud infrastructure with providers like AWS, GCP and Azure
  • Have ambition, eagerness to learn new things and be a self-directed professional
  • Nice to have experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, NewRelic, Zabbix and others
  • It’s good to have experience with NoSQL solutions at the architectural level
  • Having participated in an end-to-end big data or large scale performance challenge is desirable
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) or AWS/GCP certifications will be considered a plus
  • Excellent English communication skills to collaborate with the team
