To support the vision, we are building a platform that manages end-to-end lifecycle, from provisioning to upgrade to terminate; and provides a self-service cloud experience to the customer, we are looking for an energetic, engaged and technically strong Manager of Software development – Database Infrastructure to lead a development team in the Database Services organization. As a manager, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture and Oracle databases to lead a software development team tasked with improving all aspects of database management and performance through automation. Responsibilities include developing, debugging, and designing code to meet organizational needs.

You work well with everyone. You can lead a conversation in a room with designers, engineers, and product managers.
You are comfortable with ambiguity. You have a strong sense of ownership and are able to drive development of new projects and features to completion.
You are comfortable working at all levels of the stack
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience delivering and operating big-data application services and analytics.
5+ years leading high performing engineering teams.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Strong understanding of databases, Linux systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science.
Experience in managing large-scale, big-data focused operations organizations.
Experience in managing network and security expectations, requirements, and operations.
Experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus.

Hiring Range: from $79,700 - $223,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
