Job description

A U.S.-based company that has successfully managed to build a world-class social platform to help users across the world to communicate with each other, is looking for a Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of leading large projects and successfully executing them, starting with designing to release. The company is developing an internet platform that lets people post links, produce content, and participate in discussions about the subjects that interest them. The company has managed to secure more than $1.1bn during their Series F round of funding.

Job Responsibilities:

Take informed and business-oriented decisions for architectural choices based on past proven solutions
Play a key role in recruiting new team members and setting the standard
Lead and contribute to initiatives aimed at scaling the infrastructure, processes, systems, and automation
Develop easy-to-upgrade, responsive, robust, and well-documented stacks

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
Demonstrable experience working with SQL and Data Analysis
Familiarity working with Scala and Java is desirable
Ability to work well in an autonomous and team-oriented environment
Fluent in spoken and written English communication
